Denman Island Heritage Apple Trees is a small family run nursery that specializes in propagating traditional apple trees. It's run by Shonna Janeway and her daughter Kate at The Potager on Denman Island. Shonna brings more than 20 years of experience in horticulture and nursery management to the farm. Kate currently works in community education on the island; she has a degree in Natural Resource Conservation and is certified in permaculture design. They propagate and sell over one hundred apple varieties including crab apples and traditional French and English cider apples.

The trees are all organically cultivated. We are completely pesticide and herbicide free and we do not use any synthetic fertilizers on our trees.

For more information on what we do visit our home site at www.thepotager.net. Our thanks to Larry & Jane, who started the business in 2000, for their hard work and care of the old trees on Denman Island and Comox Valley.
