The flesh is yellowish, fine grained, very crisp and somewhat hard. Juicy, very sweet, slightly acidic with rose petal and pineapple aromas which become prominent after six weeks in storage. An excellent tasting apple for fresh eating. Also wonderful in pies and sauces. Often used for making cider. Does not brown when exposed to air.
