Winter Nelis Pear

A short, little fruit with rounded top and bottom; the skin ranges from slight russeting to very russeted. This pear originates in Belgium around the time of Napoleon. It's great for baking and compliments cheese and salads well, with a rich flavour.
 
It ripens late and is one of the best keepers out there.
